FindDupes enables users to find skincare duplicates with specific ingredients and suggests products with similar formulations based on user-entered data. Originally meant to be a simple search app, but after user research I decided to enhance search functions for more demanding users while ensuring overall value for general user base.

IT’S HARD TO FIND ON YOUR OWN A PRODUCT WITH THE SAME FORMULA
I've used the same shower gel for over a decade. So when I can't buy it because it's out of stock or, worse, has been withdrawn, I'm not thrilled. I began to wonder if I was the only one who was bothered when a skincare product became unavailable. When browsing forum about face care, I observed how they searched for similar products: someone wrote a post with the product name and ingredients and asked for suggestions from skincare users.
But there has to be a better way.
Enhance search functions for edge cases –– overall value for everyone
DESIGN SYSTEM
The brand URL system is featured heavily throughout the site, working both as a page header and navigation breadcrumb. In addition to the URL system, the introduction of category tags creates a familiar UI, allowing the user to intuitively browse similar products and experiences.
